Part 1 - Invocation

Definition: An orb is activated if it is in a shrine statue.

Definition: An orb is inactive if it is not in a shrine statue.

Definition: A shrine statue is activated if it encloses an orb.

Definition: A shrine statue is inactive if it does not enclose an orb.

Definition: A shrine room is activated if it encloses an activated orb.

Definition: A shrine room is inactive if it does not enclose an activated orb.

Invoking is an action applying to one visible thing. Understand "invoke [something]", "focus [something]", "focus on [something]", "concentrate on [something]", "concentrate [something]", "meditate [something]", "meditate on [something]", "pray [something]", and "pray to [something]" as invoking.

Does the player mean invoking a shrine statue: it is very likely.

The current shrine statue is a shrine statue that varies.
