I’m speaking at GaymerX! (Santa Clara, CA, Sept 30 – Oct 2)

I’m speaking at GaymerX this year! My talk is “Game Dev for Everyone: Modern Interactive Fiction”. It’s aimed at people who want to make digital games, but don’t know where to start, with a good helping of modern IF tools info. (Is anyone surprised? No, no one is surprised.)

GaymerX is a LGBTQ-focused gaming convention, but they’re serious about “everyone is welcome” (more info on their about page). This year’s guest list is fantastic, including Katherine Cross, Laura Kate Dale, David Gaider, and Patrick Weekes. Also, Tanya DePasse is the Diversity Liason – I was on her podcast last year!

This is my first GaymerX and also my first time speaking at a convention outside New England, so friendly faces will be very welcome. If you’re in the San Francisco area, why not swing by?

  1. Awesome!

Every time I talk to the uninitiated about modern IF, and the inclusiveness of the community, I see people’s faces light up with curiosity and excitement. Have fun!
